John K. Roller Jr., 95, of Lower Allen Twp., Camp Hill, went home to glory into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ. There to greet him were his wife, Dorothy L. and mother Ella and numerous relatives.
He retired after 38 years from Sears, first as a serviceman and later as an appliance salesman both in Colonial Park and Capital City Mall. He enjoyed attending breakfasts with fellow Sears retirees. John was a WWII Army Air Force Veteran and spent time oversees in Germany. He could repair almost anything and assisted his daughters building their houses, where he did all the electrical wiring and plumbing. He was proud to have passed his skills on to his grandsons.
Born on September 7, 1926, in Columbus, GA, he was the son of the late John K. and Ella R. (Norris) Roller. He was raised in Duncannon and attended Duncannon High School before leaving to join the military. John was the widower of Dorothy Louise (Sober) Roller his wife of 58 years, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Frances Moore.
Surviving are his daughters Eunice Ross and her husband Lewis of Lewisberry, and Patricia Vanderslice and her husband Mark of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren, Jonathan Ross and his wife Andrea of Dover, David Ross and his wife Maggie of Lewisberry, and Ryan Vanderslice of Mechanicsburg; one great grandchild; a brother Ralph (Bud) Roller; numerous nieces and nephews.
Per his request, no services will be held. John was always willing to help others and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
