John S. Schreckengaust

John S. Schreckengaust, Lt Col (Ret) died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at his home.
A Gulf War veteran, he was a retired USAF officer with the 193rd Special Operations Wing (SOW), Middletown, Pa. He was a 1964 graduate of the former John Harris High School and a Gettysburg College alum, Class of 1968. After graduation, he attended pilot training at Reese AFB, TX. He served his country for 35 years. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling the world with his wife of 45 years, Audrey.
He was born February 1, 1946, in Grand Rapids, MI to Barbara Starr Schreckengaust of Camp Hill and the late Samuel A. Schreckengaust.
He is also survived by his wife, Audrey L.; three daughters, Lee S. Schreckengaust of Oxford, England, Tracey L. Angelopoulos of Stavanger, Norway, and Jennifer S. Post of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, Ray of Camp Hill and Mark of Harrisburg; two sisters, Mary Cantone of Ocean City, NJ and Elizabeth Tomlinson of Haddonfield, NJ; and seven grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 4pm until a memorial service at 5:30pm Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Private interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
