John Thomas Bretz, IV, 52, of Camp Hill, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.

John was born in East Pennsboro Twp. to Lurena Jean (Pechart) Phillips of Camp Hill and the late John T. Bretz, III. He was a graduate of Blue Mountain Academy, Hamburg; the American Legion; and was an avid San Diego Chargers and auto racing fan.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by his step father Jerry Phillips; eight children, Justin C. Bretz of Carlisle, Jesse A. Bretz of Piscataway, NJ, Melissa M. Bretz of New Cumberland, Jeffery C. Bretz of New Cumberland, Josh Bair of NC, Alana Bair of NC, Jordan Pacella of Camp Hill and Jared Pacella of Camp Hill; three siblings, Saundra Oplanel of Athens, TX, Bonnie Mills of Camp Hill and Nancy Click of Camp Hill; three grandchildren, Elise, Calvin and Zayden; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 7 pm on Monday, July 18, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. David Clevenger officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 7 pm Monday night in the funeral home.
