Joseph Edward Dewayne Ellis, Sr., 51, of Fairview Twp., died Saturday, September 17, 2022, at his home.

He had worked as a prison guard at various penitentiaries. Joseph enjoyed "Dungeons and Dragons" and "Magic" at the Harrisburg Mall. He was an avid wrestling fan and loved bonding over video games with his children and grandchildren.

Born on January 21, 1971, in South Haven, MI, he was the son of David Ellis of (Ripley, TN) and the late Rebecca K. (Smith) Ellis.

Surviving are sons and daughters, Joseph E. Ellis, Jr. (Jessica) of New Cumberland, Christopher B. Ellis of New Cumberland, Brandie D. Ellis of New Cumberland, Tiffany L. Ellis of St. Ann, MO, and Josie N. Ellis of Jacksonville, AR; twelve grandchildren, Jayden, Kailee, Cameron, Jasiah, Zander, Jayliana, Jalissa, Summer, D.J., C.J., L.J. and one unborn; sisters and brothers, Donna Kirby of Ripley, TN, Jeannette Bayyapuneedi of Kalamazoo, MI, Martha Sherwood of Otsego, MI, Ben Holloway of Wayland, MI, and Derek Snyder of Gadsden, Al.
