September 22, 1955 — March 2, 2021

Joseph J. Acri, 65, of New Cumberland, Fairview Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at his home.

He was an estimator with Flood & Sterling, New Cumberland and a Red Land High School graduate, class of 1973. Joe was an avid sports enthusiast, especially college football, wrestling and golf. Joe was an excellent athlete himself in his younger years participating in football, baseball, and wrestling. Joe and his wife enjoyed spending time together on the golf course. He loved his job and took great pride in his work.

Joe was born in Mechanicsburg, the son of Charles D. Acri of Lewisberry and the late Margaret G. (Keating) Acri and was the loving devoted husband of the late Lana K. (Miller) Acri.

He is survived by his son John W. Martz, III and wife Pamela of Dillsburg; a granddaughter, Alexandria Martz; siblings, Charles Acri (Diane) of Lewisberry, Daniel Acri (Marianne) of Wellsville, Tony Acri (Rhonda) of Dillsburg, and Theresa Hollis (Craig) of Orange Park, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Joe’s wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

There will be a visitation on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Joe’s memory to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition or Special Olympics York County.
