Joseph Watchilla, Jr.

Joseph Watchilla Jr., 61, of York died Thursday, January 4, 2023 at his home.

He was a Technician for Amazon based in Carlisle. He was previously employed for many years by Sysco in Harrisburg. A 1979 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School he then attended Bell & Howell School of Electronics, Columbus, Ohio. His involvement in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, 193rd Electronic Warfare Group based in Middletown gave him the opportunity to travel the world. An intrepid handyman, he was a backyard mechanic and enjoyed the outdoors, golf trips with his buddies, and riding his motorcycle.

Joe had a kind heart especially when it came to helping others and caring for animals, most importantly, his two cats Boo Boo and Spud.

He was born August 25, 1961 in Wilkes Barre.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph and Ann (Fedak) Watchilla; brother Bob Watchilla (Leslie) of Newark, DE; sister, Brenda Schultz (Mike) of Camp Hill; and nephews and nieces, Zachary, Robert, Ally, and Kylee.

Visitation will be from 3pm until services at 4pm Tuesday, January 10th at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
