Joshua Steven Perry, 25, of New Cumberland, PA prematurely passed away Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 in Somerset County, leaving behind a family who loved him unconditionally.
Josh was born in Harrisburg, PA on August 15th, 1992. Josh was a Boy Scout, played baseball, and covered many miles on his bicycle. He graduated from Red Land High School in June of 2010 and was a landscaper.
Josh had a passion for the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He also had a passion for motorcycles, automobiles and trucks, and he enjoyed driving his Jeep off road and through the mud. He cherished time with friends and watching the sprint car races with them. Most of all, Josh loved being around his family and he always happily participated in family gatherings, especially family vacations at the beach.
Josh is survived by his mother Tracie Hockman and her husband Phil of Mechanicsburg, PA, his father Mark Perry and his wife DaleAnn of New Cumberland, PA, his brother Todd Swartz of Camp Hill, PA, his sister Lauryn Walker of Sarasota, FL, maternal grandparents George and Nancy Jefferies of New Cumberland, PA, paternal grandmother Matilda Perry of New Cumberland and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Thomas Perry.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 310 Hertzler Road Mechanicsburg, PA with the Rev. Msgr. William King as Celebrant. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday evening in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
