Judith M. Shirk

Judith M. Shirk, 80, of Mechanicsburg died Thursday, May 20, 2021 at her home.

Judi was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Mechanicsburg. She moved her family to Camp Hill from Buffalo, NY in 1970. She worked at WHP TV in Harrisburg where she met her late husband, Robert T. Shirk. Judi became a successful real estate agent with Jack Detweiler and later became president of MGM Realty in 1983. She served as Vice President, followed by President, of the Harrisburg Board of REALTORS® During her career, she served on over 90 committees and earned the recognition of “Realtor of the Year.” She retired her career from Howard Hanna. She enjoyed traveling and was extremely devoted to her three grandchildren.

Judi was born September 11, 1940 in Buffalo, NY to the late Kenneth and Alice (Miller) Schmitt. She was the widow of Robert Thomas Shirk. She was also preceded in death by her son, Douglas R. Totaro and sister, Carol Ruh.

She is survived by her daughter, Doreen M. Lecheler (Brent) of Estero, FL; son, Donald R. Totaro (Melanie) of Manheim; sister, Sue Ramey of Garner, NC; brothers, Brigadier General John Schmitt, US Army Retired of Williamsburg, VA and Colonel Joseph Schmitt, US Army Retired of Naples, FL; grandsons, Douglas M. and Derek J. Totaro and Nicholas A. Lecheler.

Visitation will be at 10am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 1 Peter Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Committal will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
