Kenneth H. Kase

November 26, 1936 — March 30, 2018

Kenneth Howard Kase, 81, died on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation, Carlisle.
Ken was born in Harrisburg, PA on November 26, 1936 to the late Elizabeth (Lotz) and Howard C. Kase.
He was a 1956 graduate of John Harris High School. He and his wife Madelyn were married on December 20, 1958 and have shared 59 years together and many wonderful family vacations. They were and are blessed with three children, Karla D. Kase of West Virginia, Kami E. and husband Daniel Labell of Mechanicsburg, and Jay K. Kase and wife Debra of AZ. Ken so enjoyed his five wonderful grandchildren, Tara Kase, Kenny Kase and Lauren, and Alex and Andrew Labell.

After four years in the service, Ken worked as a software manager for RCA and Sperry Univac and for the Commonwealth of PA where he was a Director of Central Management Information Center. He retired from Aegis Security Insurance.

Ken was an active member of the Fairview Lions Club and served one year as president, and the Fairview Township American Legion. He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church where he helped as the Assistant Boy Scout Troop leader and helped with clean up and repairs at Kentland. He coached his son’s little league baseball team for three years and they were champions one year.

Ken enjoyed attending his children and grandchildren’s school and sporting events. He created many beautiful pieces of furniture and had a passion for woodworking and gardening. He loved watching the wild animals that shared his yard.

Ken was predeceased by his brother Paul Kase and his parents. Surviving are his sister, Barbara Agypt (Tony) and sister-in-law, Nancy Potteiger and a brother-in-law, Lester and wife Joan and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be from 10am until funeral services at 11am Wednesday with Bishop B. Penrose Hoover, Retired officiating at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry, PA.
