Kenneth W. Duckett

June 26, 1924 — July 12, 2014

Kenneth W. Duckett, 90, of Bethany Village West, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
A WWII Army Veteran, he was retired as Curator of Special Collection from the University of Oregon. He was the author of three books, one of which won his profession’s highest award and was used as college text. He enjoyed gardening.
He was born June 26, 1924 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Harper and Vinie Mae (Pemberton) Duckett; and a daughter, Karen Atwood.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine J. Zerbe Duckett; a son, Christopher Duckett of Ballwin, MI; four grandchildren, Jenifer, Diane, Brian, and Erin; and two great-grandchildren, Addyson and Kaylee.
Visitation will be held at 10:30am followed by a memorial service at 11am Thursday, July 17th at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Private inurnment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
