Kyle Richard Quigley, 30, of New Cumberland, died Sunday, February 8th, 2015, at Harrisburg Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was a former employee of Gullifty’s Restaurant, Camp Hill, and was a mover and a shaker. Kyle was a 2003 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, Camp Hill, and then joined the U.S. Army as a Calvary Scout with the 101st Airborne Division and was a veteran of the Iraq War. He was a free spirit and enjoyed traveling the world and living life on the road. He was a former president of the Iraq Veterans Against the War, Harrisburg Area Community College Chapter, and was involved with SWAT of HACC's Harrisburg Campus. Kyle was an activist with various demonstrations and marches for furthering the awareness of the treatment of veterans upon their return from duty.
Born on February 14th, 1984, in Harrisburg, he was the son of Richard L. Quigley of New Cumberland and Cathy M. (Loffreda) Quigley of Lemoyne.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Jeremy L. Quigley of New Cumberland, and his maternal grandmother, Eileen Day (Loffreda) Herbst of Fitzgerald, GA.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Monday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, immediately followed by a celebration of Kyle’s life at Gullifty’s Restaurant, Camp Hill, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly requests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org/Donate).
