Kyung (Karl) Joo Tark, 92, of New Cumberland, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Holy Spirit Hospital, E. Pennsboro Twp.
He was the retired owner and operator of Boundry Cab Corporation, New York City. He had Bachelor of Science Degrees in Engineering and Math and completed Post Graduate Studies at MIT. He was an active member of both Market Square Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg and West Shore Senior Citizens Center, New Cumberland.
He was born August 21, 1921 in North Korea to the late Hoon and Choi-Yo (Zun) Tark. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bong Joo and Wan Joo Tark, his step-son, Ronald Chancey and a grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Wanda Faye Wainwright Tark; grandson, Tyler Chancey of New Cumberland, PA who he raised as his son since birth; three step children, Stanley Kimbrel (Lupe) of Offerman, GA, Anita Reisman (David) of Mechanicsburg, PA and Edward Chancey (Janice) of North Augusta, SC; seven step-grandchildren and ten step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 10am followed by memorial services at 11am Saturday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Inurnment will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to West Shore Senior Center, 122 Geary Ave., New Cumberland, PA 17070
