L. Carole McLain Welpton, 72, of Lemoyne and formerly of Etters, died Friday at Harrisburg Hospital.
She retired as a Registered Nurse with the Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg; a member of Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church, Etters and B.P.O.E., Lodge No. 2763, Deep Creek, FL. Born on February 5, 1945, in Ardmore, OK, she was the daughter of Willard D. and Dorothy E. (Connolly) McLain. Mrs. Welpton was the widow of John S. Welpton.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Stephanie E. and James A. Stoner of Marysville, and Katrina and Michael D. Young of Lemoyne; a brother, Howard E. McLain of WA; a sister-in-law, Mary Anne Welpton of Biloxi, MS; four grandchildren, Jared, Zak, Tyler and Nathan.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church, Etters, with the Rev. Dr. Deborah J. Heisley-Cato. Burial will be in Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church.
