Larry Ray Ruff

Larry Ray Ruff, 70, of New Cumberland, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at home.
He was born in Mechanicsburg on August 13, 1942, and was the son of the late Joseph L. and Lydia Romaine (Sweigart) Ruff. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia A. Ruff.
Larry was a 1960 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. With the exception of four years in the Air Force after high school, Larry was a life-long resident of New Cumberland. He was retired from TRW/Chromalloy and was a member of American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland.
He is survived by his companion Maggie Ruff; brother, Joseph R. Ruff of Chambersburg, his sister, Cindy L. Cryer of Clearwater, FL, and two nieces, Felicia Ruff and Stephanie Ruff Corum; and his best friend, Terry Gallagher, New Cumberland.
He is also survived by his step-daughter, Sherry Sundberg (Michael) of New Berlin; his step-son, Edward Eichelberger of New Cumberland; three grandsons, Joshua, Daniel, and Noah Sundberg of New Berlin who were his children and grandchildren and who enriched his life with love as he did theirs.
Viewing will be from 6-8pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Friday at the funeral home followed by interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
