Laurence B. LeGore, 83, of Mechanicsburg, died Wednesday, October 21st, 2015, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
He retired as a Bureau Director, Office of Information Systems, Commonwealth of PA, Dept. of Welfare, Harrisburg and was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. LeGore was a member of and cooked for functions at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg and was a former member of the American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg, the Mechanicsburg Club, was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a previous coach for Highland Park Youth Baseball. Born on February 1st, 1932, in Vineland, NJ, he was the son of the late Lammas J. and Lucy B. (Marks) LeGore.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Janet L. Chisholm LeGore; four sons, Gary B. (Kimberly) of Mechanicsburg, Gregory S. (Joanna) of Derry, NH, Fred L. of Rossville and Steven C. (Heather) of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Dr. Stephen LeGore (Inge) of Holmes Beach, FL; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg, with the Rev. Troy Howell officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel Of Peace Mausoleum at Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Twp.
Viewing will held 2 – 4 PM Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland.
