Lee Ann Wickenheiser, 61, of Camp Hill died Thursday, June 18, 2014 at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a 1971 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. Before becoming a full time mother, she worked at Holy Spirit Hospital and for Dr. K. Won. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Her life revolved around her beloved children and grandchildren.
She was born December 18, 1952 in Mechanicsburg to the late Lester and Christine (White) Shoffner.
She is survived by her husband Thomas L. The couple had been happily married for 40 years. Also surviving are a son, Ryan, and wife, Jody, of Camp Hill; a daughter, Erin Demey of Camp Hill; two sisters, Barb Shrawder of Conway, SC and Susan Calabrese of Mechanicsburg; her mother and father-in-law, Pat and Elston Wickenheiser of Camp Hill; five grandchildren, Kaity, Jarit “JJ”, Andrew, Tommy, and Cole; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Viewing will be from 4 to 6 pm Sunday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland with Pastor Donald Slaybaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
Lee Ann’s family would like to acknowledge the nursing staff on the 7th floor at Harrisburg Hospital and Hospice of Central Pennsylvania for their compassionate and loving demeanor while providing the most professional and articulate care for Lee Ann during her month in their trusted care. She came to know them all by name and loved each and every caregiver she met. While practicing the intricate art of nursing, the clinical team willingly gave of themselves to both Lee Ann and her family.
