Leroy “Roy” B., 70 and Marie A. Hoover, 71 of Penbrook, stepped into eternity, hand-in-hand, on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
Roy was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam and Cold War era and a truck driver for Leidich Enterprises. A car enthusiast, he was a member of Central PA Mustang Club, a woodworker, and master of all trades.
Marie was an Administrative Assistant for ABWE International, New Cumberland, where her passion for missions and love of people flourished. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, and doing puzzles. She was well-known for making people smile and was always up for a good practical joke.
Roy and Marie were both graduates of Williamsport Area High School and members of Brookfield Bible Church in Harrisburg. Their strong faith in Christ and their passion for sharing the Gospel were central in their lives.
Roy was born April 18, 1951 in Williamsport to the late Elwood Charles and Doris Eleanor (Eichelberger) Hoover.
Marie was born January 7, 1951 in Williamsport to the late Clyde Robbins Munsell and Mary Louise (Cox) Croucher. She was also preceded in death by her step-father Jim Croucher.
Roy and Marie are survived by their sons (wives), Mike (Kim) of New Cumberland, Todd , (Sarah) of Papillion, NE, and Bryan (Erin) of New Cumberland; grandchildren, Kaylee (Cody), Jacob (Tori), Alexis, Carley, Sean, and Elliot; great-grandson, Liam; and many nieces and nephews; Roy’s siblings, Barb McCuen of Indianapolis, IN, Shirley Schriner of Montoursville, Woody Hoover of Linden, Dee Johnston of Williamsport, and Rick Hoover of St. Petersburg, FL; Marie’s siblings, Michelle Smith of South Williamsport and Tim Croucher of Robertsdale, AL; and an aunt who was more like a sister, Joan Smith of Williamsport.
Visitation is at 3pm followed by the celebration of life service at 4pm Saturday, January 15th at ABWE International, 522 Lewisberry Rd., New Cumberland, PA 17070. If you are unable to attend in person, please join us via live stream at https://youtu.be/1OquyrbIbEg.
