LeRoy Forrest Zebley, 83, formerly of Etters, PA, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, in Charleston, South Carolina. Born on June 2, 1941, in Upland, Pennsylvania, to the late Elmer F. and Mary Elizabeth (Patterson) Zebley. LeRoy proudly served in the United States Air Force from June 14, 1960, until March 12, 1965, when he achieved the rank of Airman First Class (A1C E-4). He also served in the United States Army Reserves for two years. Following his military service, he became a skilled mechanical electrician, contributing his talents to G.E.S. Technology throughout his career. A passionate man of many interests, LeRoy dedicated his leisure time to woodworking, hiking, and playing guitar, activities that showcased his creativity and love for the outdoors. His commitment to community service was evident in his membership at American Legion Post 945 in Wormleysburg.
He is survived by his loving wife, Candy Zebley, three cherished daughters, Linda Bizzak, Donna Powers, and Suzie Mrozek; a stepdaughter, Dannelle Goldberg; stepson, Robert Rohrbaugh; 9 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, Earl Zebley.
A graveside service will be held on January 27, 2025, at 11 AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Joseph’s Indian School, P.O. 326, Chamberlain, SD 57326.
