Lois Emily Rudy, 80, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Residence, Susquehanna Twp.
She retired as a Medical Assistant for the office of Samuel Mowery, DO, New Cumberland; a 1956 graduate of Susquenita High School; a member of Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church, Etters, and attended Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland; a volunteer in Pastoral Care at local hospitals and was a Stephen Minister; was formerly active in Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed traveling. Born on June 22, 1938, in Duncannon, she was the daughter of Boyd A. and Gertrude B. (Fritz) Magee. Lois was the widow of the Rev. James Edgar Rudy.
Surviving are sons and daughter, J. Michael Rudy (Patricia) of Elliottsburg, Denise E. Walter (Robert) of Pocomoke, MD, David K. Rudy (Rhonda) of New Cumberland, Jeffrey P. Rudy (Melanie) of Lincoln, NE, Joel E. Rudy (Melody) of Fairfax, VA; three brothers, Richard Magee (Dorothy) of Alexandria, VA, David Magee (Cathy) of Marysville, Roy Magee (Mable) of Galena, MO; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Deborah Heisley-Cato and the Rev. Carl Ford Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Fishing Creek Salem Cemetery, Fairview Twp.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church.
