Lorna M. (Wade) Frick, of New Cumberland, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Grovene (Kocher) Wade, born on February 25, 1945 in Millersburg.
Growing up in northern Dauphin County, Lorna was a graduate of Millersburg High School. She was independent and career-oriented, working for the Commonwealth of PA for more than 40 years. She began at PennDOT, then transitioned to the PA Department of Environmental Resources (now the Department of Environmental Protection) for most of her working years. In retirement, she found enjoyment and new friends through bible study and working in boutique retail. She lived a healthy lifestyle and took her physical fitness, emotional and spiritual wellbeing seriously. Lifelong pastimes included decorating her homes, baking, travel and sports cars. She was fortunate to have several diverse groups of friends, some of which she was close with all her life. Her faith would lead her to join and become an active member at Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill. This hardworking and independent woman, mother and friend was a role model and constant source of inspiration for many.
Lorna is survived by her son, Justin M. Frick (Lisa) of Lewisberry; a brother, Dennis Wade (Roseanne) of Elizabethtown; and former husband, Dennis J. Frick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Wade.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
