Louise D. Vansickle

Louise D. VanSickle, 68, of Mechanicsburg died Monday, October 26, 2015 at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a retired Case Work Treatment Specialist with over forty-four years of service from United Methodist Home for Children, Mechanicsburg. She received her BS in Behavioral Science from Messiah College and Masters in Counseling from Shippensburg University. A dedicated member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, she was active in its Chancel Choir, Chairperson of the Worship Committee, Adult Sunday School Class, Altar Guild, Homebound Visitation Team and Communion Server. She also enjoyed collecting Boyd’s Bears, traveling to the beach, and reading.
She was born May 20, 1947 in Mechanicsburg to the late Eugene A. and Violet (Brackbill) VanSickle.
She is survived by her aunt and uncle, Donald E. and Alma E. Husler of Mifflintown and a number of cousins.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until funeral services at 10:30am Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Interment services will be held at 1:30 Friday at Union Cemetery, Mifflintown.
