Madeline J. Hunter

Madeline J. Hunter, 81, of Camp Hill passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at The Woods of Cedar Run.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hunter, parents, Willard and Ruth Walter of Middleburg, and sister, Shirley Wenrich of Beaver Springs, PA.
She retired as a bookkeeper from Media Marketing in July of 1995. She previously worked for WCMB Radio and O’Leary & Associates. Madeline enjoyed special time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, horse racing, crossword puzzles, playing cards, gardening and traveling. She was a member of the “Foxy” Red Hats and former member of the Zembo Legionette’s.
She was a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ in Camp Hill. She served as treasurer of her church council for six years. She was active with the Woman’s fellowship and volunteer work with the church.
She is survived by three daughters; Jeanette Lamason (Steve) of Orlando, FL, Joanne Urban of Camp Hill, and Julie Mattos (Ed) of Dillsburg; three sons, Daniel Hestor (Laurie) of Carlisle, Donald Hestor of Duncannon, and step son Scott Hunter (Hazel) of Centerville, VA. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Walter (Judy) of Mt. Pleasant Mills; a sister, Patricia Reesman of McClure; brother-in-law Ted Wenrich of Beaver Springs; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Viewings will be held from 5 to 7pm Thursday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland and from 1 until funeral services at 2pm Friday at Chapel Hill United Church of Christ, Camp Hill. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery.
