Malcolm L. “Mel” Black, 90, of Enola, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 in the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, a service of Hospice of Central PA, Susquehanna Twp.
He was a retired tool maker with DuPont, Fairview Twp. and enjoyed golfing. He was a member of American Legion Post 751, Enola; West Shore Elks Lodge 2257, Camp Hill; and VFW Post 7415, New Cumberland.
Mel was born in Three Springs, Huntingdon County, PA to the late Lawrence and Ada (Parks) Black. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion of more than 40 years, Beverly J. Gill and a sister Olive Mort.
He is survived by his daughter Judith A. Groff of Dallas, TX; a brother George Black and a sister Joanne H. Wilson, both of Three Springs; two grandchildren, Nicole and Joel; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Viewing will be one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Committal will be private.
