Margaret C. Erney

Margaret C. Erney, 93, of New Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 in her residence with her loving family at her side.

She was a retired Registered Nurse with Harrisburg Hospital (UPMC Pinnacle); also, having worked in several local nursing homes; was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Harrisburg; and was a graduate of Enola High School and Harrisburg School of Nursing.

Ms. Erney was born in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Frederick) Comfort. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son David S. Erney and two brothers, Jack and Lee Comfort.

She is survived by her daughter Joan L. Erney of New Cumberland; her daughter in law Penny Erney of Carlisle and grandchildren, Joshua S. Erney (with Allie Baker) and Brittany L. Erney Muniz (with Christian Muniz).

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are respectfully requested in Ms. Erney’s memory to either Grace United Methodist Church, 246 State St. Harrisburg, PA 17101 or to Spirit Trust Lutheran Life & Hospice, 1920 Good Hope Rd. Enola, PA 17025.
