Marian B. Keane

Marian B. (Hollinger) Keane, 88, of New Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Homeland Center in Harrisburg.

She was a graduate of Catholic High School, Harrisburg and Central Penn Business College. After graduation, Marian worked as a legal secretary for Schaffer, Bream & Kerwin, Law Office. She retired from this position to stay home and raise her children. Marian was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland where she was active in both Cub Scouts and the Council of Catholic Women and was an active volunteer in the parish school while her children attended. Marian was also a member of DOLLUS and DAR and enjoyed hosting and playing in card clubs. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who loved spending time with her family, cooking, entertaining, and going on excursions and trips with her husband and family.

Marian was born in Harrisburg to the late Adam A. and Caroline E. (Bleistein) Hollinger and was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Mahon, Mary Hollinger, Betty Sieger, and Helen Bennett; brothers, Edward, Joseph, and Robert Hollinger; and great grandchild, Kiara Ann Hurstik.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Michael J. Keane; children, Michael Keane, Jr (Rosanne) of Avondale, PA, Patrick C. Keane (Meigan) of McLean, VA and Mary Eileen Mueller (John) of Camp Hill; seven grandchildren, Caitlin Hurstik (Kyle), Michael, Brendan, Reilley, and Lindsay Keane, and Elizabeth and Laura Mueller; and brother Carl Hollinger of Lititz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday, September 22 in St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St. New Cumberland, PA with the Rev. Kyle Sahd as Celebrant. Viewings will be from 5-7 pm Monday and 10-10:30 am Tuesday in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
