Marie A. Thompson

Marie A. Thompson, 91, of Shiremanstown, died Friday, February 3, 2017, at Pinnacle Health Community Campus, Lower Paxton Twp.

She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Middletown. Born on October 2, 1925, she was the daughter of Jacob D. and Jessie M. (Long) Good. Mrs. Thompson was raised by her aunt and uncle, Zay and Murray Hake. Mrs. Thompson was the widow of Harner W. Thompson and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Giffin.

Surviving are a son, Thomas M. Lyman (Alice) of Lancaster; two daughters, Janis M. Lyman of York and Gayle M. Jones (DeeLamar) of Harrisburg; two step daughters, Stephanie L. Babish (Frank) of Hurst, TX, and Melissa A. Tsenoff (Kris) of Carlisle; a brother, Mark Good (Doris) of Crisfield, MD; a sister, Elizabeth Snead of Princess Anne, MD; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 1 – 2 PM on Wednesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, with memorial services immediately following at 2 PM, Pastor Lee Ellenberger officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical United Methodist Church (eumch.org), 157 E Water St, Middletown, PA 17057.
