Marilyn Ann Crossley

April 15, 1939 — March 26, 2025

Mechanicsburg

Marilyn Ann Crossley, 85, of Mechanicsburg, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Janet Beshore as well as three of her siblings, Stewart, Don, and Ted Beshore.

She is survived by her loving husband, David W. Crossley; her children, Steven D. Crossley (Carol) of Mechanicsburg and Tammy J. Waughen (Mike) of Mechanicsburg; her sister, Dee Chapman of Hershey; her six grandchildren, Brianna Crossley, Brittany Laird, Seth Crossley (Samantha), Taylor Laird, Victoria Weiser (Wade), and Jeffrey Laird; and great-granddaughter, Olive Crossley.

Marilyn was born on April 15, 1939 in Harrisburg, and graduated from the former West Shore High School, Lemoyne, in 1957.

For over twenty years, she worked as a Cashier at Allen Middle School cafeteria, where her cheerful smile and kindness impacted the hearts of many.

Marilyn loved her church family at Shiremanstown United Methodist Church where she enjoyed spending time assisting with church meals and activities. Her positive impact continues to be felt, as the card ministry that she co-founded is still active to this day.

Her relationship with God was a very important part of her life, and her faith helped shape her into the compassionate and quietly generous person that she was.

At the young age of 12, Marilyn met the love of her life, Dave Crossley. Marilyn and Dave spent the next 73 years (65 married) creating their wonderful life together. The two of them worked hard to support their children and care for each other, but they played hard too. They enjoyed many years of traveling together, especially enjoying their biannual trips to their favorite place, Rehoboth Beach. And whether they were hosting fun parties, playing cards with friends, cheering on their favorite college football team, Penn State, or just spending quiet evenings at home on their porch, they always made each other laugh, and genuinely enjoyed life together. They were inseparable to the very end, and their lifetime of love together led to a beautiful family who miss Marilyn deeply.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until memorial services at 1:30 pm on Saturday , April 26th at Shiremanstown United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 125 E. Main St., Shiremanstown, PA 17011.
