Mark Christopher Holness

Mark Christopher Holness, 19, of Mechanicsburg passed away Monday, November 27th in Carroll Twp.

He was a 2022 graduate of Mechanicsburg Area High School where he ran Cross Country for two years. Currently, he was attending Penn State University and working at Rutter’s in Dillsburg. He enjoyed cooking, baking, collecting vinyl records, and healthy eating. He was very in love with his Shih Tzu, Aggie, and his favorite color was yellow. 

He was born July 7, 2004 in Bronxville, NY to Mark Conrad and Tara Maria (Rush) Holness. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Molly Rush; paternal grandfather, Emrick Holness; and uncles, Richard Ehring and Daniel Rush. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Molly E. Holness; brother, Sean E. Holness; maternal grandfather, James Joseph Rush of New Cumberland; paternal grandmother, Gloria E. Holness of Palm Bay, FL; aunts and uncles, Karen S. Holness of Melbourne, FL, Ellen M. Diaz (Eddie) of Camp Hill, James Rush (Robyn) of Suffolk, VA, Julia Ehring of Charlotte, NC, Steven Rush of Bronx, NY, Anthony Rush (Jennifer) of Lemoyne, Paul Rush (Jill) of Kansas City, MO, and Kevin Rush (Sonia) of Virginia Beach, VA; and many cousins. 

Viewings will be on Tuesday 12/5/23 from 5 to 7pm and Wednesday 12/6/23 from 9:30 to 10:30am at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am at St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland.
