Martha Esther Gray

Martha Esther (Hartzell) Gray, 90, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in her residence at Brookdale Grandon Farms, Mechanicsburg.

Martha was born in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late William and Esther (Kuhns) Hartzell. She was the widow of John J. “Jack” Gray and was preceded in death by a son John J. Gray, Jr.

She was a member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland and would do anything for anyone, especially her family. Family meant everything to her.

Martha is survived by her children, Daniel B. Gray (Lynn) of Mechanicsburg and Joan M. Duke of New Cumberland; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland with the Rev. Jean Felty, her pastor officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery, Lewisberry, PA.
