Martha E Wolf, 87, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, went home to be with her Lord on May 2, 2023. She was born at home in Springville, Tennessee on February 16, 1936.
She was a Cheerleader and a member of the Queens Court in the annual Mule Day Festival in Springville. In 1952 she moved to Hazel Park, Michigan where she met the love of her life, Dan, and graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1954. On August 10, 1954 she married Daniel Claire Wolf on NBC’s Bride & Groom TV program. She had three sons, Daniel Jr. and twins David and Donald. From 1972 to 1997 she was a Secretary for the Hartland Village Elementary School in Hartland, Michigan. She and her husband enjoyed traveling, including two wilderness horseback trips, a river raft trip, a 10-day American Orient Canadian train trip, a New Zeeland and Australia 28-day trip, many cruises, and travel to every state of the Union. Their 25th anniversary was celebrated by a trip to the Hawaiian Islands.
She enjoyed Bible Studies, singing in the church choir, singing with the Hartland Senior Center Choir, and cooking. It didn’t take long for anyone who met her to see the light of Christ shining through her. She lit up the room with her smile, her gentleness, and her kindness. Her care and love for others was quite evident, and everyone who knew her loved her. Her legacy is the example of her love for God, her husband, and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her Mother, Anna Belle Stockdale Perkins, her Father, Omer Lawrence Perkins, and her sister, Jean. She leaves her sons Dan Jr., Dave, and Don, grandchildren Jessica, Ryan, and Anna, six great grandchildren, her sister, Judy, eight nieces and nephews, eleven grand nieces and nephews, and many great grandnieces and nephews.
