Marvin L. Thomas, 90, of Harrisburg died Monday, September 10, 2018 at his home.
An Army Veteran of the Korean War, he served in the Engineer Battalions in Germany. He retired from the Map division of PennDOT. He was an avid coin and stamp collector, loved jewelry and going to the movies, and was a sharp dresser. On his most recent birthday he was recognized for his service and contributions by the Pennsylvania State Senate.
He is survived by three close friends, Theresa Fazzolari of Camp Hill, Stephanie Iseman of Harrisburg, and Charles Palentz of Camp Hill; and two cousins, Carol and Ruby of Martinsville, VA.
He was born April 8, 1928 in Washington, D.C. to the late Lt. Col. Elmer and India (Whitlow) Thomas.
Visitation will be from 1pm until funeral services at 2pm Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will follow in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042 or to Meals on Wheels, 25 S Front St # 8, Harrisburg, PA 17101
