Marvin L. Schoffstall

Marvin L. Schoffstall, 87, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on November 7, 2024. He was born in Williamstown, PA, on July 25, 1937, to the late Arthur and Ethel (Row) Schoffstall. Marvin was a dedicated Navy veteran, achieving the rank of SK2 during his service. He enjoyed camping, traveling, watching PSU Football, and tending to his garden, but nothing brought him more joy than being out on the water, making memories aboard boats. He worked for NCAD as a computer analyst until his retirement after which he and Sheryl spent several months a year traveling around in their RV - most notably, Key Largo, FL. He enjoyed hosting parties and making people laugh, but spending time with his family was his favorite activity.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Sheryl (Berger) Schoffstall; his children, Martin (Diane) Schoffstall, Stephen (Brooke) Schoffstall, Cathy (Michael) Golightly, William (Sharon) March, and Matthew (Regena) March; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louann Martin and Doris Hand. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by his brothers, Kenneth and Donald Schoffstall and three sisters, Evelyn Sturgis, Carol Gonder, and Gail Paul.

A visitation will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM at Capital Bible Church, 7900 Capital Dr, Harrisburg, PA 17112 with a memorial service to take place immediately after. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
