Mary C. Staub, 86, of Etters, formerly of Mechanicsburg died Monday, July 15, 2013 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
She was a retired key punch operator from the former Mellon Bank. She was a graduate of Swatara High School. She was a champion bowler at ABC lanes in Mechanicsburg and the Navy Depot League. She loved cooking, crocheting, embroidery, gardening, and especially spending time with her family.
She was born August 7, 1926 in Bressler, PA to the late Anton and Mary T. (Matetich) Plesic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mason D. Staub, Jr., son-in-law Kenneth S. Herman, and grandsons Ryan Herman and Jason Wenger.
She is survived by her son, Mason D. Staub, III (Debbie) of Brighton, CO; six daughters, Beverly A. Heimer (Keith) of Marysville, Linda J. Arvey (Al) of Etters, Nancy S. Herman of New Cumberland, Mary E. Perry (Melvin) of Harrisburg, Kathleen G. Lauer (Joe) of Mechanicsburg, and Betty Lou Harlacher (Scott) of Lemoyne; a brother, John A. Plesic of Harrisburg; many nieces and nephews; twenty-two grandchildren; forty-nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11am Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Graveside services will be held at 11:30am Friday at Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
