Mary Ellen Horning

Mary Ellen Horning, 83, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of New Cumberland, died Monday, August 26, 2013 at Messiah Village, Upper Allen Twp.
She was a member of St. Theresa Parish, New Cumberland. She enjoyed walking, gardening, and her dogs and was always involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s athletic events.
She was born May 25, 1930 in York to the late Harry C. and Isabel (Troutwine) McGready. She was the widow of Lloyd Horning, Jr.
She is survived by three sons, Michael W. (Sharon) of Mechanicsburg, Russell A. (Mary) of Fort Ashby, WV, and Martin N. (Tina) of Harrisburg; two daughters, Pamela C. Greyshock (Michael) of Mechanicsburg and Barb Kehler of Camp Hill; seven grandsons and a great-granddaughter.
Viewing will be from 1:30 to 2:30pm Friday at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3pm Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Burial will be in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp.
