With love and appreciation, we celebrate the life of Mary F. DiMartile, Gigi, Ladybug
Mary passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in her residence at Bethany Village, Lower Allen Twp. surrounded by her loving family.
She was a retired color photo supervisor with Fine Art Photo, Harrisburg, a graduate of the former Harrisburg Catholic High School (now Bishop McDevitt), and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. Mary was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Harrisburg where she served faithfully as an active volunteer.
Mary was born in Harrisburg to the late Emilio and Natalina (Pisani) Lippi and was the loving wife of the late Arthur J. DiMartile.
Mary lived her 95 years with intense devotion to her family. She prepared countless delicious Sunday dinners, a family tradition, and all were welcome. She leaves behind prized (secret) Italian recipes, and innumerable beautiful memories.
She gave great care to her children, their spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Joyfully she welcomed new family and friends to her home and heart. During her time at Bethany Village, Mary made many new friends whom she cherished. She hosted regular, lively game nights there.
Mary is survived by her children, Arthur B. DiMartile (Patricia) of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Patricia A. King (Stephen) of New Cumberland, Christina D. Alexander (Reynolds) of Camp Hill, Marie E. O’Donnell (Charles) of Media, PA and Angela D. Ortenzio (Robert) of New Cumberland; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great grandchildren due shortly.
A big thank you to the Ladybug Team at Hospice of Central PA for their support and guidance. An extra special thanks to Rosa's Team for their compassionate and vigilant care especially Carol, Eva, Kimberly, and Donna.
Services will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions, in Mary’s memory, be made to the Bethany Village Care Assurance Endowment Fund, 325 Wesley Dr. Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, to assure the continued care of Mary’s friends.
