Mary Jane Ahlberg

Mary Jane (Winiski) Ahlberg, 85, formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in Gwynedd Square Nursing Center, Lansdale, PA.
She was a retired typesetter and a member of Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisberry. After her retirement, she loved to volunteer. Some of the places she volunteered were her church, the Lisburn Fire Company Festival & Fair, the Lewisberry Public Library and Health South Rehabilitation Center.
Mary Jane was born in Bay Shore, NY to the late Joseph W. and Josephine B. (Matthews) Winiski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands William Abbot Carroll and Ragnar Waldemar Ahlberg and her sister Irene McConnell and a great grandson.
She is survived by her children, William Francis Ahlberg (Elizabeth) of Warrenton, VA, Kathleen Marie Bourquin (Martin) of Ooltewah, TN, Raymond Bruce Ahlberg (Grace Folsom), Laytonsville, MD, Richard Walter Ahlberg (Emily) of Audubon, PA and Cynthia Ellen Currie (Brian) of Johnson City, NY; a sister Virginia Mohrman of Johnstown, NY; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Mt. Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 863 Lewisberry Rd. Lewisberry, PA 17339 with the Rev. Timothy L. Hoffman, her pastor officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service time in the church. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Hilltop Cemetery, directly adjacent to the church.
