Mary Louise Hogan, 75, of New Cumberland, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
She retired from Bell Atlantic/Verizon after 42 years of service. Mary was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, PA. She had been a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church since 1972. Mary was a kind and giving woman whose greatest joys in life were gardening and being a caregiver.
Mary was born in Harrisburg, PA to the late Stefano and Nancy (Gulluni) Mammola, both of whom emigrated from Italy to the United States in the late 1930’s.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Marie (Hogan) Simpson and husband Kirk of Brogue, Erin Marie Hogan of New York City and John Michael Hogan III of Mechanicsburg; her sister Rose (Mammola) Augustine of Bala Cynwyd, PA and her brother Joseph L. and sister-in-law Marilyn Mammola, of Saratoga Springs, NY; and one grandson, Emmett Simpson; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John M. Hogan, Jr., who passed away in 2013.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge St., New Cumberland. Family greeting will be from 9-10:30 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.
