Mary M. (Kory) Leftwich, 83, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, transitioned to Eternal Life to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Carolyn's Place, Central PA Hospice Residence, Susquehanna Twp.
She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland and had faithfully served the Catholic Church in many ways during her entire life including serving as a Eucharistic Minister, former Bible Studies and C.C.D. instructor, founder and coordinator of the prayer chain, and a member of the Arimathean Group; also, a member of the Red Hat Society. Born on March 1, 1936, in Montreal, Canada, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Claire Jean (Wouters) DeCotret.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Jack Leftwich; two sons, Kenneth R. "Blair" Geary of Syracuse, NY, and Randy W. "Don" Geary of New Cumberland; a daughter, Aline M. Garrett (Brown) of Dover, DE; a brother, Roy Fisher of Nanaimo, Canada; three sisters, Karen Gause and Donna St. James, both of Chilliwack, Canada, and Brenda Olson of British Columbia; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, June 10, 2019 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Samuel I. Dubois as celebrant.
