Mary W. Tark, 79, of New Cumberland, died August 5, 2018, at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. Daughter of the late Edward and Ada (Knowles) Wainwright, she was born on December 24, 1938, in Offerman, Georgia.
Born and raised in Georgia, Mary was a graduate of Patterson High School, Patterson, GA, and went on to attend both Florida State Hospital School of Nursing, Chattahoochee, FL, and Waycross Ware Vocational School, Waycross, GA; she concluded her education at Helen Fuld School of Nursing, New York, NY. Mary became a registered nurse, and worked in the nursing field for over 50 years. She was also a long-time member of Market Square Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg. Mary always cared for those around her; an uncommonly kind woman, she was passionate, caring and dedicated to selflessness.
Mary is survived by three children, Stanley Kimbrel (Lupe), of Offerman, GA, Anita Reisman (David), of Mechanicsburg, and Edward “Zeke” Chancey (Janice), of S. Augusta, Georgia; granddaughters, Mary Reisman Dimm, Kelly Griffiths, and Abbie Chancey; grandsons, Joey and Derrick Kimbrel, and Tyler and Noah Chancey; and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 10AM on August, 8, 2018, at Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill with family and friends in attendance.
A special “thank you” to all who provided Mary with excellent care, especially the MICU nurses at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and those caretakers with Hospice of Central Pennsylvania.
Donations may be made in Mary’s remembrance to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania or Market Square Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg PA.
