Maynard Ray Stufft

August 15, 1939 — May 30, 2024

Camp Hill

Maynard Stufft, 84, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 30, 2024. He was born on August 15, 1939 in Shade Township, PA to the late Celestine and Dorothy (Manges) Stufft.

Maynard is survived by two daughters, Tracie Stufft and Kristin (Keith) Quesenberry; 4 grandchildren, Remy Erkel, Ellie (Quay) San, Jack Quesenberry and Katie Quesenberry; and 3 siblings, Barry (Jane) Stufft, Pam (Dave) Merriman, and Neil (Bev) Stufft. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife Carol (Carver) Stufft, and brother Truman Stufft.

Central to his life and guiding everything he did was his faith in the Lord Jesus. Maynard waa member of Camp Hill United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir, and with Carol, became the nursery “Grandma and Pop” to many many young ones. In recent years he attended West Shore Free Church to worship with family.

Maynard received a full academic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh; however, his parents needed him to work, so he moved to Philadelphia after graduating high school and started his career in the insurance industry. He completed his CPCU certification and worked for 20 years at Penn National before joining PHICO Insurance company where retired as President and CEO

He made so many memories for his family and friends on beach vacations, whether on the East Coast or in beautiful Aruba. Maynard enjoyed singing, dancing, fishing in Montana, rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. There was not a bigger or louder fan at his grandkids’ events. What made him smile most, what brought him joy beyond comparison, was being a grandfather.

Maynard was generous to a fault and adopted anyone and everyone who was in need of a friend, a helping hand, a compassionate ear, a hug. He was “Pop” to many more than just his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 6 – 8 PM at Camp Hill United Methodist Church and again on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 12 – 2 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after at 2 PM with Pastor Stephen Gallaher and Pastor Quay San officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central PA. Arrangements entrusted to Parthemore Funeral Home.
