Melissa Braun Rodgers

Melissa Braun Rodgers, 62, of Mechanicsburg died Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

A 1975 Graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, Harcum Junior College, York College and HACC with degrees in Marketing, Interior Design and Architectural Drafting. She was the owner/operator of Melissa B. Rodgers Interior Design and Décor. . Melissa was a member of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church. Her faith was very important to her. She was a past member of Harrisburg Builders Assn., Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce, and West Shore Breakfast Club. Melissa loved the sun, sitting in her back yard by the pool, entertaining friend and family, gardening, cooking, travel, jewelry, and especially her grandchildren. She was always concerned that everyone was happy and worked to that goal every day of her life.

She was born June 11, 1957 in Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by her father Donald R. Braun.

She is survived by her husband David J. Rodgers; children, Ashley M. Rodgers of Summerdale and Jason D. Rodgers of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Gabriel, Peyton, and Lucas; mother, Marjorie Braun of Mechanicsburg; siblings, Gary, Donna, and Chris; and seven nieces and nephews and their children.

A Celebration of Melissa’s life will be held at a date to be announced.
