Melvin F. Strockbine, Md

Melvin F. Strockbine, MD, 92, of Lemoyne, formerly of New Cumberland, died Friday, November 26, 2021, at his home.

He was a radiation oncologist for WellSpan at Apple Hill Medical Center in York, retiring in 1991. An U.S. Army Veteran, he graduated from the former New Cumberland High School in 1947, Dickinson College in 1951, and Temple University Medical School in 1955. He was an active member of Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland.

He was born July 21, 1929, in Bedford, PA to the late James Kennedy and Margaret Henrietta (Fisher) Strockbine. He was the widower of Florence B. (Blades) Strockbine. He is survived by his four children and five grandchildren.

Visitations will be from 5-7 pm Monday, December 6 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland and from 10-11 am Tuesday at Baughman Memorial United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Funeral services will be held at 11 am at the church followed by burial in Rolling Green Cemetery.
