Michael A. Wotring

May 7, 1959 — July 8, 2018

Michael A. Wotring, 59, of Lemoyne, died Sunday, July 8, 2018, at home. Son of Howard A. Wotring, Jr.
and the late Esther June (Rushow) Wotring, Michael was born on May 7, 1959, in Harrisburg.

Michael was an avid sports fan and very much an athlete himself. He played multiple sports in high
school and did well at almost any recreational activity he picked up beyond his scholastic days. One of
his passions was bowling; he had 2 perfect games of 300. As a hockey fan, Michael got to see his team
hoist the Stanley Cup this year, as the Washington Capitals rolled through the rest of the NHL. He was
also a big fan of their farm team, the Hershey Bears. NASCAR was also a favorite sport of Mike’s, having
gone to many races with his brother, Pete, in their younger days. Lastly, he enjoyed music. He worked with a local band and traveled with them as they played at different venues around the mid-state.

Mike leaves behind his father, Howard A. Wotring, Jr.; a sister, Suzanne Sarnowski (John), of
Mechanicsburg; a brother, Pete A. Wotring (Wendy), of Thurmont, MD; three nieces, Christina
Robinson (Dusty), Rebecca Medeiros (Terry), and Lauren Wotring; a nephew, Nicholas Wotring; and great niece and nephews, Amber, Bryce and Logan. He was predeceased by his mother, Esther June (Rushow) Wotring.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Michael’s name to the
American Liver Foundation – Mid-Atlantic Division (liverfoundation.org), 1528 Walnut St., Suite 2020,
Philadelphia, PA 19102.
