Michael S. Bennett

Michael S. Bennett, 39, of Mechanicsburg died Tuesday, December 17, 2019 surrendering to addiction.

Michael was a 1999 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School. An independent contractor, he was a perfectionist in everything he did, including landscaping and construction.

Michael was born October 12, 1980 in Harrisburg. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents and his father Robert G. Bennett, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Donna M. Bennett of Mechanicsburg; a son and daughter, Kaleb and Kai of Mechanicsburg; their mother, Nina Hamilton of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, Robert Bennett, Jr. of Lewisberry and David E. Leon of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Michael loved his children, loved the outdoors and although many years of his life he struggled with addiction, he always held his head high, always wanted to do his best, and always had the most beautiful smile. Unfortunately, addiction won and his battle for sobriety came to an end. May he now rest in peace. Michael will be in our hearts and thoughts always.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6pm followed by a Celebration of Michael’s Life at 6pm Friday, December 27th at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michael’s name to The Children’s Miracle Network, Penn State Children’s Hospital or Sonshine Ministries at 1543 Fort Robinson Rd, Loysville, PA 17047.
