Michele (Schmidt) Crowley, 76, of Lemoyne, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at UPMC West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg. She was born on July 15, 1948, in Pottsville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Rosemary (Lynch) Schmidt and Albert S. Schmidt, Jr.
Michele was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, Harrisburg, and would go on to earn a degree from Immaculata College, Washington DC. She would retire as an office administrator at the former New Cumberland Army Depot, Fairview Township. She and her late husband, Dick, enjoyed traveling and rooting for Notre Dame football (his alma mater). They were married for 42 years. She missed her husband tremendously since his passing in 2022, and it brings comfort to her family knowing they’re reunited. Michele was a longtime parishioner of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland.
Surviving are her brothers, Albert S. Schmidt III (Rebecca) and Joseph Schmidt; several nieces, a nephew, and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard D. “Dick” Crowley; a brother, Kenneth Schmidt; and sister-in-law, Susan Schmidt.
A public viewing will take place from 10-11AM on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, followed by an 11:30AM Mass across the street at St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland. A procession will then depart for Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg, where she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband.
