Mildred Mae Whitebread, formerly of New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg, died Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She was a member of Shiremanstown First Church of God.
Mildred was born in Marysville to the late J. Leroy and Mildred Jean (Flickeninger) Messinger and was the widow of Walter Eugene Whitebread, Sr. Additionally, she was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers, Laura Wilfong, Arthur Messinger, Phillip Messinger and William Messinger.
She is survived by a son Tex A. Roadcap of Enola; two daughters, Nancy L. Wert and husband Douglas of Halifax and Shirley L. Foltz and husband Dennis of San Diego, CA; a brother Richard L. Messinger of Marysville; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 pm Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Twp. with Rev. Floyd Carlen, her pastor officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
