He was born September 22, 1925, in New Cumberland to the late Wayne Freysinger and Lena (Millard) Freysinger.

He was a 1944 graduate of New Cumberland High School at which time he was accepted into the U.S. Navy V-12 program, participating in officer training at both Georgia Tech and Emory Universities in Atlanta. He was then posted to Northwestern University where he was commissioned an ensign. He was assigned to the transport ship, USS Pinckney, in the Pacific after which he was decommissioned and discharged. He returned to New Cumberland and in May 1951 married his sweetheart, Barbara Lee Anderson. A short time later he was recalled to the Navy to report to Seattle, WA and serve on military sea transportation ships. He made 23 trips in 24 months to Korea and the Far East and was discharged as a full Lieutenant in 1953. After being discharged from the Navy he and Barbara returned to New Cumberland where he worked with his parents to develop the Freysinger Pontiac franchise on Bridge Street. Over the years and until his death, he was President of Freysinger Pontiac, GMC, Buick, Mazda, and Hyundai.

A beloved husband, father and grandfather, he was the center of a large extended family, an adventurous traveler who was always ready to pack his bags and go, and an avid basketball fan and athlete with a deadly set shot admired by those with whom he played on the court. He was passionate about the automobile industry, his company, and his work. Millard touched the lives of all those with whom he came in contact. He will be sorely missed and always in our hearts.
