Myrna W. Garrick, 74, of Fairview Twp., New Cumberland, died Tuesday, October 6th, 2015, at Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp.
She retired as a teacher in the West Shore School District and served in Congo with Christian Service Board of the Mennonite Brethren Church; a graduate of Tabor College, the University of Oregon and Premont High School, Premont, TX. Myrna was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Camp Hill, The Friendship Force of Greater Harrisburg, and The Victorian Dance Ensemble. She was a piano instructor and enjoyed gardening, nature, her pets and traveling. Born on May 29th, 1941, in Premont, TX, she was the daughter of the late Jacob S. and Katherine (Duerksen) Warkentin and was the widow of George Garrick.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Todd C. and Jean Landis of Mechanicsburg, and Mark S. Landis and Noreen Walsh of Superior, CO; a sister, Marjorie Langridge of Newberg OR; four grandchildren, Jenna, Tyler, Sean and Claire.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday in Christ Presbyterian Church, Camp Hill, with the Rev. Ellen Crawford-True, her pastor, officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held in the church from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
