Nancy Jane Drewett, 85, of Mechanicsburg died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired High School English and Film Making Teacher from West Shore School District. The founder of “Battle of the Bands” at Cedar Cliff High School, she was an avid Bridge player and reader.
She was born May 31, 1930 in Harrisburg to the late Donald N. and Selina B. (Cunningsby) Shuler. She was the widow of William Sykes and former wife of Michael A. Drewett. She was also preceded in death by a son Michael A. Drewett and sister, Virginia Logan.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan L. Nelson (Tom) of Carlisle, Jennifer L. Williamson (Gary) of Enola, and Melissa L. Drewett of Camp Hill; a sister, Marian Augustine of Limerick; and three grandchildren, Sarah Beth Palmer, Adam Pratt Nelson, and Samantha Theresa Williamson.
Visitation will be from 9:30am until memorial services at 10:30am Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland. Private burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp.
