Nancy L. Beard

Nancy L. Beard, 67, of Newberry Twp., Manchester, died Thursday, January 2, 2020 at home.

She retired as an employee of Capital Blue Cross, Harrisburg and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. Nancy enjoyed gardening, cooking, but the love of her family and being a devoted grandmother, mother and friend was most important.

Born on March 8, 1952 in Mechanicsburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Lillian G. (Schott) Baker. She was the widow of Ronald E. Beard and was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Baker and a son-in-law, Kenneth Rocuskie.

Surviving are two sons, Michael E. Beard of Manchester, and Ron J. Beard of York Haven; two daughters, Sherry C. Rocuskie of York Haven, and Crystal R. Burometto (Michael) of York Haven; five brothers, Dennis Baker of Lewisberry, Cliff Baker of New Cumberland, Richard Baker of NE, Steven Baker of Lewisberry, and Thomas Baker of New Cumberland; two sisters, Deborah Moseley of Alabama, and Diane Baker of New Cumberland; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Rachel, Autumn, Danielle, Hunter, Dustin and Angela; three great grandchildren, Mason, Allen and Owen.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 6th, 2020 at 2 PM with visitation with family starting at 1:00 at Cassel’s CM&A Church, 570 Cassel Road, Manchester, with Pastor Kenton Kreider officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the services.
